It is safe to say I have always had a passion for automotive service. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, in fact, more accurately I was born with a stainless wrench. As long as I can remember I have always loved cars.
Growing up, while other 8 year olds spent nights and weekends watching movies and playing video games, I would go to work on cars with my dad at his shop. I had a knack for seeking out broken parts off cars and fixing those parts. I suppose that I have always enjoyed taking cars and making them better.
My dad could see that my interest was more than just a passing stage and as I got older, so he would let me fix his customer’s cars as they would come into his shop. This passion grew as I was deciding what I wanted to do in during high school. Thanks to the example of my father, plus the gift of a humble shop space to use when I first began, I opened my first shop. I wasn’t your typical high school student since I was running a small business working nights and weekends. Soon I was able to buy a shop of my own and started Scott’s Auto Inc. in 1993, launching with only $200 in the bank.
My beginning has taught me that this really is a nation of opportunity. In time I have grown to appreciate how our business has evolved from working out of a temporary space as a in the early 1990’s to running a full service automotive business. From the very beginning, I have understood that although Scott’s is a car-business, in the end it really is a people-business. Scott’s has grown to become a very special and unique business, which wouldn’t be what it is if it weren’t for our wonderful customers, employees and family. MEET THE TEAM
SCOTT MILAN - Chief Executive Officer
Scott is a Fort Collins native! Born right here at Poudre Valley Hospital, Scott’s whole life has been about cars and racing! He grew up working for his dad at his local auto body shop, and raced midgets, sprint cars, and stock cars. He has been surrounded by the automotive industry his whole life, and has gathered all of his profound knowledge from those around him. He and his wife Kelly started Scott’s Automotive in 1993, and has made it the successful, community focused business we see today. When he is not busy running the business, he is coaching his son Scotty during his sprint car races, or helping his daughter Malia with her schooling at Colorado Mesa University.
KELLY MILAN - Owner
Kelly was born and raised in beautiful Colorado. She and her husband Scott built up the incredible Scott’s Automotive business that we see today! She has been in the automotive business since 1993, and is currently designing their forever home near Horsetooth. When not at Scott’s, Kelly enjoys creative floral design. She is an extremely talented designer, and excels with over the top, abstract tropical arrangements. She is the proud mom of their two kids Malia and Scotty, and she loves spending her time hiking, being outdoors, and with her wiener dog Saidey!
KRISTY - President/Chief Financial Officer
Kristy was born and raised in Texas, but moved to the colorful state of Colorado when she was a young girl. She has a degree in Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics, and Accounting, as well as a certificate in Business Foundations! Outside of work Kristy enjoys spending time with her sons Hunter, Tyson, and Victor, and husband Brian. She loves to go fishing, hiking, compete in fitness competitions and play with her two adorable bulldogs. Scott’s Automotive is so lucky to have her as a part of our family.
ANA – Controller
Ana was born in Juarez, Mexico and moved to Colorado at a young age. She has worked in many facets of the automotive industry which makes her an incredibly valuable asset to the family! Ana has been married to her husband for over 20 years and they share 4 children and 2 grandchildren together. During downtime she enjoys traveling with her family and is a talented cake decorator.
DR. DANA – Arizona Director of Operations
Dr. Dana Nkana was born in Nigeria and moved to Colorado several years ago. He has been in the automotive industry for as long as he has been a part of Scott’s, since 2021! Dana is passionate about helping others and providing opportunities for those that have the potential to excel but have limited opportunities. In his free time Dana enjoys traveling with his family, soccer, golfing, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, and giving back to the community in Africa! Dana believes that if something is possible he will do it and if something is not possible, he will absolutely try it!
AUSTIN K - Mountain Director of Operations
Austin was born and raised right here in Grand Junction, CO! He has been in the automotive industry since 2011. He is passionate about his family which includes his young daughter and wife of 11 years! In his free time Austin enjoys hunting, snowboarding, and golfing.
CINDY - Account Manager
Cindy lives in White Bear Lake, Minnesota with her husband, Eric and 3 kids, Jordyn, Tyler and Brogyn and a dog, Nelson. Cindy has worked in the automotive industry since 2020 doing accounting work, and prior to that she was working in the medical field. In her spare time, Cindy loves watching her kids play basketball and soccer, taking family vacations, photography, and shopping for shoes.

DAVE J. - Service Director
Dave grew up in Central Florida, and spent 8 years in the United Stated Air Force! He moved to Colorado in 1996, and has been in the automotive industry since 1992 from technician to manager and everything in between. Dave is currently a student at Colorado Technical University working towards his degree in business administration and asset management. When he is not at work, Dave enjoys spending time with his amazing wife and grandchildren. He loves to ride and repair motorcycles, and camping up in the beautiful Western Slope mountains!
ASHLEY - Service Advisor
Ashley is from Grand Junction and has been in the automotive industry since 2018! She is passionate about the outdoors and spending time with her dogs. Outside of work Ashley spends her time shooting archery and shotgun competitively and even coaches those talents at Colorado Mesa University! An interesting fact about Ashley is she is currently working on her Masters Degree in Wildlife Conservation through Texas A&M University!
SKYLER - Service Advisor
Skyler grew up between cities, and he is proud to call Colorado home. He has been in the service industry since 2015. Has contributed in helping with everything from 1950's Willy's to the newest of vehicles. Most of his time is spent traveling for their sports and needs. When he is not enjoying time with his kids, he enjoys several hobbies that keep him delighted with life that include snowboarding, golfing, gaming, hunting, camping, hiking and fishing. Currently, he is trying to get his BA in English with an emphasis in writing.
KODY – Master Technician & Shop Foreman
Kody has been in Grand Junction, Colorado his entire life. His parents owned a machine shop in the community so he has been working on vehicles for as long as he can remember. On days off you will find Kody, his wife, and two daughters camping and fishing on the Western Slope. His favorite part of working at Scott’s Auto is being able to help our customers!
HERMAN - Master Technician
Herman was born in Hazard, Kentucky and moved to Montrose in 2015 to be closer to his family. He was born into a family of automotive professionals, so the love of cars ran through his veins! He began working for his dad’s machine shop rebuilding engines at the young age of 12, and loves every aspect of the automotive industry. In his free time, he loves to build guitars from scratch, and thus far has made 4! He also has a passion for Harley Davidson’s and has purchased 4 to work on at home.
ALAN - Technician
Alan was raised in Vernal Utah, and moved to Grand Junction in 2014. He attended college at Colorado Mesa University and received an Associate of Applied Science for Transportation services. He enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, or working on project cars at home
AUSTIN G. - Technician
Austin is from right here in Grand Junction, CO! He has been mastering his skills in the automotive industry since 2014. Austin is incredibly passionate about his dogs and his hobbies of Jeeping and target practice. Austin has always been interested in cars as long as he can remember and is thrilled to be on a team with people that carry the same interest.
BEN - Technician
Ben was born in Colorado Springs and later moved to Grand Junction, Colorado at the tender age of two. Ben attended Fruita High School. He worked at ARCO Diesel shop in Grand Junction, Colorado before joining Scott’s Automotive. His interest in cars was ignited when his grandpa bought a 1947 Desoto and he helped his grandpa restore it. Ben learned how to fix cars from the “School of Hard Knocks.” Ben’s mom, dad, and four siblings moved to Florida, with him and his three-year-old son staying in the Western Slope. Ben loves to milk cows in his spare time! His best friend’s family owns a dairy farm, and he spends time working in the farm in his spare time. He also enjoys building his race car whenever he has time.
BRENT – Technician
Brent was born and raised in Salida, Colorado. Recently he and his wife made the choice to go over the divide to Montrose. They made the move to be closer to family and ended up being next door neighbors! When Brent isn’t working he enjoys taking his dirt bike out for a ride.
JACOB - Porter
Jacob was born in Grand Junction, Colorado. He went to Grand Junction High School and concurrently attended Western Colorado Community College (WCCC). He studied Transportation Services and graduated in 2021. His interest in cars started when he was 10 years old. Jacob used to take his parents’ car keys just to get in the car. Jacob has a mom, dad, brother, and two grandparents. He enjoys all outdoor sports such as riding ATV, Golfing, and a little bit of video games.
